Limitations

• Lower Paint Capacity: Because the fibers are packed so tightly, they absorb slightly less paint volume per load than loose, open-knit standard polyester covers.
• Incompatible with Strong Solvents: While highly durable, they should not be used with aggressive industrial epoxies, lacquers, or urethanes that dissolve standard synthetic cores.

Key Differences from 100% Polyester

• Application Speed and Load: Standard polyester features an open-knit structure that holds a massive volume of paint to coat walls incredibly fast. High-Density polyester holds less paint per load, requiring more frequent returns to the paint tray, but applies it with far greater control.
• Finish Quality and Wear: Standard polyester loses its physical integrity quickly, which can result in heavier stipple and visible fiber shedding over time. High-Density polyester maintains its exact shape, offering a much smoother finish that does not degrade mid-project.
